There is dissonance between how you are living and how "Gary" wants you to live. You can continue to criticize "Gary" but the self-loathing is very tiresome. As I side here reading my old abnormal psychology textbook, I am reminded of the fact that I didn't really pay close attention in that class. So my assessment may be a bit off. Edie told me she had a dream last night in which a lady from her Bible study called to tell her that she, along with Marmalade, Ethel-Sue, Jolene-Johnny-Pie, and Sister Mary Francis, want her to "stop smiling when [she] promenade[s]" and Edie told her "1) I do NOT promenade, I walk, and 2) I can't stop smiling. My face was surgically altered by my agent in the 1940's so I could be competitive in Hollywood. So I quit your Bible study!" Do you see, Conlan? Do you see how this kind of critical behavior tears friendships apart? I just think friends should accept each other exactly as they are. Gary, don't listen to these guys!
